Privacy policy
This site collects as little as possible. No cookies are set and no advertising network is connected. Below is what does happen, and which other companies are involved.
Last updated: October 2026.
Who processes your data
Timotheus van Corven, trading as TVC. A sole proprietorship under Polish law (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza), tax number NIP 6772388817, based at Niezapominajek 7a/26, 30-239 Kraków, Poland. You can reach us at info@huiskopeninpolen.nl.
The contact form
If you fill in the form, we process your name, your email address, any link to a property and your message. We use that data for one thing: answering your question. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible agreement (article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
What you enter is forwarded by email to our own mailbox and not stored on the website. One exception: if sending fails, the site keeps your message temporarily so that your question is not silently lost. Once it has been answered after all, that copy is deleted.
We keep the email for as long as we need it to help you. If your question leads to an assignment, we keep what tax and accounting law requires, for as long as it requires.
Visitor statistics
We count how many people view which page, with Koko Analytics, software that runs inside this website on our own hosting. No cookie is set and no data goes to Google or to advertising networks. To tell a new visitor from a returning one, the counter calculates a code from your IP address, your browser details and a secret value that changes every 24 hours. Your IP address itself is not stored, and visits on different days cannot be linked to each other. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read (article 6(1)(f) GDPR); what we look at are counts per page, not who visited.
Where the data is kept
The website, the visitor counter and the mailbox run at OVH, a French hosting company that processes the data on our behalf, on servers within the European Union.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, your phone number, your WhatsApp name and your messages also pass through WhatsApp, a service of Meta, which processes them under its own terms. We use them only to answer you, on the same legal basis as the form. If you prefer to keep Meta out of it, use the form or email.
Apart from OVH, and Meta if you choose WhatsApp, nobody receives your data from us, unless the law requires it. We do not sell any data.
Your rights
You can ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use for the visitor count. An email to info@huiskopeninpolen.nl is enough. If you disagree with how we handle it, you can complain to a data protection authority: in Poland that is the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), or you can go to the authority in the country where you live.
